Saint Andrew’s was founded in 1997 as an independent congregation in the Reformed tradition. As such, Saint Andrew’s is not affiliated with a particular denomination. That is not to say, however, that we are non-denominational or inter-denominational. On the contrary, Saint Andrew’s is an independent congregation on account of our desire to remain steadfast in the Reformed tradition without the influence of denominational governance. Nevertheless, our pastors are ordained ministers in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).
We are a church on a mission to know Christ and make Him known.
Christ Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ in the power of the Spirit to the glory of God the Father, who love, worship, and live as God commands in His Word. We seek to accomplish this mission by God's grace through the means of prayer, Word, sacrament, and fellowship. Our roots are in the historic ancient biblical Christian faith, while our life and work are present today in Powell.
If you are unsure what to think about religion, if you know little about Christianity, or maybe you are cynical towards the church, please allow us the honor of introducing you to our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. For Jesus alone forgives, comforts, and gives rest to the weary. If you are skeptical of the Bible and its claims, we welcome you to come, talk, meet Jesus Christ, and some of His people here in Powell.
